Non-merit Kennel Technician (Full-Time/ Part-time)
Non-merit Kennel Technicians help complement the full-time merit staff at animal services. They are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of Animal Services and participate directly in animal care activities. Some of the things that non-merit Kennel Technicians do include:
- Cleaning kennels
- Feeding animals
- Medicating animals
- Walking dogs
- And general facility maintenance
- Pay is $15.22/hour
- Employment is temporary, and employees may not exceed more than 2,000 hours per three-year period.
- Are not eligible for health insurance, retirement, or any other city benefits.
