Reclaim a lost pet at the shelter

1. All animals that are brought into the Animal Shelter are posted on our website for five days. If you see your animal in the listing, immediately call us at 251-208-2800 to arrange to reclaim your animal(s).

2. When you come to claim your animal, be sure to bring the following:
   1. Valid ID card
   2. Proof of Ownership
      1. Veterinary Record with photos
      2. Microchip number
      3. Historical photographs
   3. Proof of Rabies Inoculation
   4. City Dog License
3. Fees associated with reclaiming your impounded pet(s)
   1. Impound Fee: $15.00/ animal
   2. Daily Care Fee: $10.00/ animal/ day
   3. Inoculations $15.00/ animal
   4. Rabies Vaccination: $8.00/ animal (if given)
   5. Dog License: See Fee Schedule
   6. Any other medical care costs accumulated by Animal Services for the care of your animals.
