Foster Care Program

Want to be a part of saving lives in our community? Consider fostering a shelter pet. We are always in need of foster families to provide a much more comfortable, less stressful environment while our animals are waiting for their forever homes. We make it as easy as possible to foster. You’ll receive around-the-clock support from our foster team to answer your questions and help you deal with any emergencies that arise. We provide needed supplies and medical care while you provide love and attention. Living with a foster helps prepare our shelter dogs and cats to thrive in a home, which makes them more likely to be adopted. It also improves their quality of life, keeping them healthier and happier.
Foster for any length of time. You’ll be an animal’s greatest advocate and play a crucial role in connecting them to a forever home.
Is Fostering For Me?
Essential Responsibilities:
- Providing daily care for your foster pet, including a clean, safe environment, exercise, daily feedings, and any medications they may have
- Transporting your foster pup to and from adoption events, meet and greets, and vet visits when needed
- Taking cute pictures to help capture your foster pet’s personality to promote them for adoption
- Reporting any behavioral or medical issues that arise asap so our staff can help resolve
What if I Can’t Foster Currently?
There are many ways to get involved, and fostering a shelter pet until the adoption is just one of many opportunities. We also offer short-term foster options to help some of our puppies and kittens who are too young for shelter life. You can also sign up to take a pup on an outing for the day to give them a break from shelter life. If fostering isn’t an option at the moment, consider spreading the word to your family, friends, and social network.
